Below are 3 super tips on how to improve conversion rates that will kick a** – and I am afraid that if you haven’t already implemented them into your online marketing strategy, you’ll have to do it like… yesterday.

1. Come up with a USP, or Unique Selling Point
Whether to develop a USP for your company or not… that may be debatable.
What isn’t debatable, however, is the decision of your prospects: if a prospect has a bunch of vendors to choose from, will they choose you over your competition?
Who are they going to buy from?
Therefore, before you send a ton of traffic to your website, make an inventory of your competition – it will help you a lot in learning how to improve conversion rates.
Here are some questions to then help you figure out your USP:
- Why are you different from other businesses offering similar products or services?
- Why should I buy from you instead of someone else in the same industry?
- Why should I buy now instead of waiting or doing nothing?

You can also differentiate yourself from your competitors by specializing locally rather than globally.

As a general rule, you will not get leads using the bait, “Sign up for [our company’s] latest news” as the biggest benefit for people joining your subscribers’ list. Do people really care about your company’s latest news? Don’t forget what they always ask: What’s in it for me?
Test different incentives, such as a coupon, free shipping offer, print catalog, or free gift.
