If don’t know about SlideShare.net, here are some impressive facts about this very useful website.
SlideShare is the world’s largest community for sharing presentations. With 60 million monthly visitors and 130 million page views, it is amongst the most visited 200 websites in the world. Besides presentations, SlideShare also supports documents, PDFs, videos and webinars
Here is another fact. Did you know that SlideShare has five times more traffic from business owners than other popular websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter? Pretty impressive if you ask me, but let`s see how we can leverage SlideShare.
These are the 3 steps that I want you to go through this week to market your business online:
First: Create your account at slideshare.net, if you don’t have one yet
To make this fast, allow it to import all the information from your LinkedIn.
Second: Use the content that you already have
Chances are that you already have a number of Powerpoint presentations sitting on your hard drive. What business doesn’t have a sales presentation? Or a few slides about a recent product launch?
As long as they don’t contain any confidential information, go ahead and use them. After you upload them, you immediately have content. Make sure you have your website link put in there as well.
Third: Add you presentation to your Linkedin account
LinkedIn offers some really great application and SlideShare is definitely one of them. By adding the Slideshare app to your account, you can immediately display your most recent presentations on your LinkedIn profile. Now, the best part is that every time you upload a new presentation to SlideShare, it updates your profile and it sends a notification to your network’s home feed indicating that there’s new content to have a look at on your profile.
